Our
Vision for Children’s Ministry:
“ To Win Children
to Jesus and Develop Lifelong Relationships with their Lord.”
As a result of this Vision, the emphasis is not so much to teach
children as it is to reach children. Children that can quote the
Word chapter and verse or walk in the power of the Holy Spirit
but have no personal, genuine relationship with Jesus are missing
out on the most important part. We make the most of every opportunity
to connect with children in a very relational manner. While we
give knowledge, we strive even more to impart a lifestyle of love
to their God. When children begin to walk in a real relationship
with the Creator of the Universe, their thirst for knowledge will
never be satisfied! But if they never meet Jesus they will soon
grow tired and weary of otherwise lifeless religion. We realize
this and have a blast in seeing the children grow! CharismaLife
Ministries Children's Church is unlike any other in Columbus!
Aside from age specific break-out activities designed
to bring complex ideas alive in the children's hearts, the children
are challenged to come up higher in their relationship with the
Father. We endeavor to train and equip the young ones to
live holy lives guided by the Holy Spirit, set on fire with a
passion for God with the mission of winning the lost and saving
souls through the gospel of Jesus Christ!

“Building God’s Promises”
Nursery—Infants
through 23 months:
A
warm playful environment is provided with lots of smiles, hugs,
and toys! The Nursery is available just prior to the 10 am service
on Sunday mornings. Within the Nursery is also a private Nursing
Mother’s room.
2s
and 3s—2 and 3 year olds:
An
inviting atmosphere to the growing toddler! This is the first
chance many children get to interact with other children and great
care is taken to create an environment where they all can get
to know God in a safe, fun place!
Preschool—4
years old through Kindergarten:
Our
goal here is to create an environment in which children can discover
how much God loves them and that God has something special planned
for their lives. Salvation and other simple concepts are shared
here to help your Preschooler come into the presence of God.
Expanders
“Expand to the Right and Left…Inherit
the nations” Isaiah 54:3
1st
through 3rd Graders:
This
is an ideal age to teach children about salvation. They tend to
be very open to learning about God and the Bible and can really
comprehend the importance of salvation. They are also sensitive
to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to continue
to lay the foundation on which they will build their lifelong
relationship with Jesus.
4th
through 6th Graders:
During
this stage of childhood, children are beginning to make some
important decisions about who they are and what type of
person they will be. They tend to live their teenage years based
on the decisions they make in this stage in their lives. It is
important that they feel like they belong and are loved unconditionally.
Our goal is to provide sound biblical teaching and a place where
they can ask questions freely without fear of judgment or condemnation.
During this time, we want them to develop their relationships
with God and choose to include Him in every part of their lives.
What
happens in Children’s
Ministry during regular services?
All
Children's Classes begin immediately following the praise and
worship portion of the service. This is to allow the children
to participate in the praise and worship with the church family.
The Nursery is open to receive the infants (Birth
through 23 months) starting at 9:30am.
Child Safety
We
make the safety of the children a paramount concern in the Children’s
Ministry of CLM. All Teachers and Teacher’s Assistants are
required to undergo an interview, application, and criminal background
check process. All Teachers and Teacher’s Assistants are
required to follow printed safety policy and procedures for heir
classrooms. We believe the Church should be a place of safety
and refuge for the children and make every effort to ensure this.
